    • The saddest part is that human beings can descend to such acts of degradation and still be called human without risking any penalty from the law. I remain convinced that we humans are morally obliged to act as caretakers for the planet and all life on it during our lifetime. Whether long or short, all that we have is only loaned to us; at birth we bring nothing into the world, and when we die, we can take nothing with us, but we can leave a legacy of care.

    • All the more monstrous when we consider that human beings can descend to such acts of degradation and still be called human. I remain convinced that we humans are morally obliged to act as caretakers for those things that come into our possession during our lifetime. Whether long or short, all that we call our own is only on loan to us; at birth we bring nothing into the world, and when we die, we can take nothing with us, but we can leave a legacy of care.
