A trouble shared is a trouble halved, but a photograph shared brings joy to many.
Photo by contributor Rhian Lloyd, a woman who faces mental health challenges every day, including anorexia and depression. In addition to regularly breaking down over her weight and/or feeling low and alone, she also deals with paranoia and panic attacks. Life is definitely a struggle for Rhian, but her passion for photography gets her through most challenges and she is able to project her feelings through the camera lens.
About these photos: “Ana, she calls to me.
This photo is a very important piece that I have created to get back into some therapeutic photography. I have been feeling myself slip, even through my thoughts, lately when thinking about my weight. The coldness of the image slips through. Relapse has always been difficult to avoid so I decided to pick up my camera and fix that. The image can be interpreted any way.”
